MSc in Information Technology
Advanced software engineering, data management and IT strategy for working professionals
Overview
The MSc in Information Technology is a postgraduate programme conducted by course work and dissertation, well received by IT professionals across the industry, evident from the volume of applications it receives every year. Candidates may follow the programme part-time over two years, or complete it within one year by taking courses and conducting research in parallel.
The first two terms comprise core and elective modules in software engineering, data management and IT strategy, revised regularly to keep pace with the field. In the second year, candidates carry out an individual research project under the guidance of a Department of Information Technology academic; those who prefer not to undertake the research project may instead complete a Postgraduate Diploma on finishing all course modules.
Graduates leave equipped to lead technical teams, architect enterprise systems and drive digital transformation initiatives within their organizations.
