Student Bodies

The Faculty of Information Technology supports active, student-led organisations that enrich campus life, represent the undergraduate community, host technical competitions, and connect students with industry leaders.

Every student is encouraged to participate in student body activities, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and build lifelong professional networks throughout their academic journey.

INTECS

INTECS, formally known as the Information Technology Society, is the main student society in the Faculty of Information Technology that supports and organizes activities related to the discipline of Information Technology. It was established in 2002, aiming to build awareness about the field of IT among fresh undergraduates and expose them to IT-related opportunities within and beyond the Sri Lankan IT industry. Throughout its more than twenty years of excellence, INTECS has played a leading role in most of the activities organized by the Faculty, working in association with faculty students, administration and staff, and industry professionals.
